| Marina Cap Cana traditionally celebrates during the fishing season its flagship tournaments, the Cap Cana White Marlin and the Cap Cana Classic, which usually attracted an average of 40 adventurous boats. Since its opening in 2007, Marina Cap Cana has succeeded in standing out among the leading marinas in the Caribbean thanks to its full-service facilities and its location, which is strategically situated within rowing distance of the world-renowned White and Blue Marlin fishery, ranked by "The Billfish Report" as #1 in 2013 and #6 in 2014. Marina Cap Cana, part of the Billfish Foundation, is a strong advocate for catch and release of billfish. In 2014, fishing crews released 2,632 individuals, including 1,033 blue marlin, 1,535 white marlin, 60 sailfish and 4 spearfish. Approximately 450 boats and 1,800 fishing enthusiasts visit us each year, including internationally renowned fishing crews and professionals from around the world.
